Coordination Studies
The coordination Study analyzes the various components connected within an integral electrical circuit or an entire electrical distribution system. The study ensures that the electrical overcurrent devices are correctly installed and properly set to provide the protection they were designed for.
Circuits are designed to ensure that overloaded devices will open in a proper sequence, thus limiting possible equipment damage, disastrous downtime, and/or personal injury.
Do you know if your fuses and/or circuit breakers will work safely when needed to interrupt a serious electrical fault or short-circuit? Even modest overcurrent levels can cause system components to overheat and damage insulation, conductors, and equipment. Overcurrent conditions can destroy insulation and damage conductors. Fault currents and short circuits can also produce fires, explosions, arc flashes, and arc blasts, which could cause injury or death to personnel.
Phasor can work through the circuity details on a one-line diagram and in the physical environment to see if changes have been made or if overloads may occur. With this analysis, potential problems can be flagged, and recommendations for any corrections that may be needed will be provided in a detailed report. This report will provide you with a resilient system that is both safe and reliable.
